Rules

Points

  • 1 mile = 1 point for running.
  • 12 minutes = 1 point for everything else.
  • Round down
  • Log points in your space in the spreadsheet on the day you do the exercise unless you use the mage focus ability.

Gameplay

  • Each week a monster or monsters appears. Kill it/them.
  • In order to attack, run. Points are used as the basis for your attack.
  • Killing the monster nets you gold. The first team to kill their monster of the week gets an extra 20% gold, the second 10%, the third 5%, and the last teams get nothing.
  • Gold is given to every player (ie. 100 gold for defeating a monster means everyone gets 100 gold, it is not divided up among teammembers)
  • If you fail to kill the monster within the timelimit (1 week), your team gets 50% of the monster’s worth in gold, and continues on to the next week.
  • After the monster is killed 1/8th of all points collected starting the day after may be converted into gold. This gold is added AFTER the 20% gold bonus is applied.
  • If you don’t want to pump up your team’s total gold you may opt to become a mercenary on the mercenary board. Merc points used for other teams are NOT eligible for the gold bonus.
  • The end goal is to kill the mighty and evil Furby at the end of week 8. Week 8 will be a special week in that all teams are attacking the same monsters.
  • Enrage: If you are the first team to kill the monster, in addition to the gold bonus of 20% your monster has 20% more HP for the following week. This is stackable.
  • Crits are applied to the highest base damage from a single source. What does this mean? (scroll to bottom for more information on how to deal with crits)

Attacking

  • Go to the spreadsheet and log your run for the day. This initiates an attack. If you kill the monster, it deals no damage. Otherwise the monster deals its attack damage to each player on your team.
  • INDIVIDUAL monsters can only counterattack once per day. This means that if a mage and warrior both attack on a day, then the monster will only counterattack once.
  • If multiple monsters are present, an attack on one of them will initiate a counterattack from ALL of them.
  • Resistances: Enemies may have resistances listed on their character sheet. Physical Resistance: Take 1/2 damage from Physical attack. Magic: Take 1/2 damage from spells. Unassailable: Only targetable by Physical damage. Cannot be the target of spells of any kind (including debuffs)

Damage

  • The enemies damage will automatically be subtracted from your HP.
  • If you are at or below 0 HP you are unable to do anything for the rest of the week unless a healer can revive you. The “KO” column will inform you of your alive/dead state.
  • Items will give you more max HP but must be bought with gold
  • Warrior has Permanent Physical Resistance

Skills

  • Healing
  • Place your points in the days slot as normal. Healer points will not trigger a monster attack so don’t worry.
  • Place any points you’d like to use for healing in the appropriate green cell next to the players name. Points will automatically subtract from your day’s total. Spell modifiers to base healing (in theory) will be built into the spreadsheet so you don’t need to do anything but place how many points you’re going to use for healing and the spreadsheet will modify the actual healing amount accordingly.
  • Spells (mages)
  • You must focus with the appropriate minimum spell cost prior to casting a spell.
  • In the focus note (right click on cell, go to insert note) specify which spell you are casting.
  • If more points are used than needed in the focus stage for the spell cost, they are applied as pure damage to the monster as usual.
  • Songs (bard)
  • Bards need to tell me (aikage) by Sunday evening (5pm eastern) which week long song they’re singing so that I can mess with the spreadsheet as needed. If I’m not made aware by Sunday evening of the weekly song then no song is sung.
  • In order for a song to be sung, a participant needs to log points on every day from the day the song is begun. The song is begun on the first day points are logged.
  • Skills are paid for with points, and are explained in greater detail at the shop or the bard class list.

Changes (6/3/15)

  • After the monster is killed 1/8th of all points collected starting the day after may be converted into gold. This gold is added AFTER the 20% gold bonus is applied.
  • If you don’t want to pump up your team’s total gold you may opt to become a mercenary on the mercenary board. Merc points used for other teams are NOT eligible for the gold bonus.
  • If you have the gold and spells are available, Healers may purchase healing spells and train them during this time. Points used to train spells may still be used towards the 1/8th gold bonus.
  • Enrage: If you are the first team to kill the monster, in addition to the gold bonus of 20% your monster has 20% more HP for the following week. This is stackable.
